5 YEAR PLAN
Develop evangelism supported by visiting Christians: Links currently with New Zealand, Kenya, Columbia, India, and former links with France, Switzerland, Uganda, USA. Provide accommodation for evangelists. This may include musical events.
Make short term accommodation available for those with none or in need of refuge/safe place. E.g. Flats for short term rental.
Provide facilitates for teaching life skills and Christian based education such as Alpha course, marriage course etc. Provide facilities for Christian based learning centre including residential learning. This could take advantage of the naval heritage, sailing, historic, sea and other locational based assets.
Provide facilities for supporting those in need in the area such as rehab groups, self help groups. In the last year groups in this category using the building or contacted include Spotlight, diabetic, contact group, narcotics anonymous. In addition it is planned to expand to include job search and other IT based facilities.
Provide support to the lonely through targeted activities such as indoor short mat bowls, film club, social groups.
Provide a safe place in which anyone may relax, meditate, read, pray and generally find peace from the pressures of post modern life.

The aim of the Charity is to follow God’s leading and, based on Christian principles, to demonstrate our love and care for local people particularly younger and older groups.
This will outwork through a number of objectives. These objectives are to: -
1. Develop evangelism and outreach, providing the opportunity for all to respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to commit their lives to Him.
2. Opportunity will be sought through social action and evangelism to serve the under privileged, deprived, destitute, or those who feel rejected.
3. Provide a relevant approach to worship, using music drama and other means, of a high quality, essential for communicating effectively in today’s culture to enable Christians to encourage each other in their Faith
4. Strengthen the faith of Christians through sound biblical teaching, fellowship and prayer so that they feel able to stand for Christ.
5. Promote and encourage work amongst young people, recognising that they need to be nurtured, and respected: And to integrate them into an all age church.
6. Our prayer is that this will encourage people to commit their lives to The Lord and through discipleship bring them into leadership

THE WATERSIDE
Christians in the Community
THE VISION
Our vision is for an outward looking church relevant to the community today: A church to serve the community: To have a heart for young people: To be based on biblical teaching of the full Gospel.
The main stay of the church is seen as based on house-groups or ‘cells’ meeting during the week to share in personal needs; to provide teaching essential to the spiritual growth and health of individuals. However the need for regular fellowship, teaching, prayer and corporate worship is recognised. The church will focus on all ages yet provide for future generations, and younger people.
